Liked the place. When I visited the bar menu was a bit restricted. Staff handled this very well. Rooms and gym very good. Would happily stay again.
Village is a great hotel. Its bar and restaurant is so elegant. They accomodate for all, cinema open room, large screens for the football. Rooms and beds are SO comfy. Love the staff, always on hand to help and the food is lovely. I visit every few months and I'd highly recommend. Always offers on so its a steal!
Plenty of parking, hotel is pretty modern looking with self check-in. Good size bar and restaurant, rooms clean and modern. Not a great nights sleep as we were on the first floor just above the smoking area outside. Was also pretty noisy in the morning. Try and stay in a room on the upper floors for a better experience.
New restaurant/bar area means that if you want a quiet meal, this is not the place to go. Mixing the two together turns the entire area into a sports bar which means you'd better be able to put up with roars when a goal is scored.Also, make sure when you book (especially if during December) that you don't go for the first floor. The parties downstairs into the early hours means it'll be difficult to get to sleep because of the loud music pumping through the floor.Also, its another hotel with no plugs by the bedside.
We went to the village for Sunday lunch. Our party rapidly grow as people learn that we we're going here for Sunday lunch so an extra 5 people were added to our party. The village was more than happy to accommodate this and moved some tables around. The Sunday lunch being a vegetarian was the usual vegetarian offerings which were amazing. However the desserts were not quite to my tasting however other people really enjoyed them so we will definitely be returning to this hotel for Sunday lunch again.
