As a first timer to vets4pets,they are great with animals and staff are friendly

It has taken me a week to write i dont usually review anything but I feel I have to if I could give no stars I would. A week ago I lost my beautiful boy rabbit Jasper and I feel my heartbreak may have been avoided if only had the vet I saw had been proactive and listened to how worried I was. The week before I lost him I took him to this practice twice in one day as I was so worried about his urine scald that I couldn't get on top of along with other symptoms and was just given cream then later after being lethargic and being incontinent was given a pain relief injection and some pain relief to take home. The next day his condition had not improved and was eating very little had to get critical care feed and was syringe feeding him for a week over the weekend and Christmas. I could not get an appointment until 2.30 the day before I lost him as they were busy and the morning of 27th was for EMERGENCIES, even then I was told his sores from urine scald looked a little better and could have some different pain relief as he was hunched over but not until the next day. This was too late, all the symptoms especially in a 6 year old rabbit I had nursed for nearly 5 years with acute renal failure should have been red flags to a vet worth their salt but he was not given fluids, feed only after I asked and no bloods taken. Even if the vet was unsure of how to treat him (rabbits deteriorate very quickly) he was under the exotic vets who were just a phone call away. Had they been called by the vet rather than me they may have seen him sooner and I would still have him. I felt I was fobbed off, the care he recieved inadequate, staff unfriendly or uncaring and charging a fortune in the process.

Amazing staff, they will try their best to accommodate. The vets are do friendly and caring. The place is very clean.

If you have a big dog , stay away !!! One of the main veterinarians aunty sally Is very biased and hopeless with helping any problem regarding your pouch . Very upset and letdown by our local vets . Actually disgusted with the attitude of staff and no help when it comes to availability of appointments furthermore over prescribing medication for the wrong purpose of my pooch!! Thank god I went to a local pet shop who helped !

Excellent service. I have been with shelfield practice since they opened. I have had many pets in the years and always used vets4pets Sally the vet is fantastic always there when I need her nothing to much trouble. Staff very friendly. Will continue to use this practice 100%.
