Been shopping here since 1994 for 30 years. Since the store has been modernised into a bigger store, the quality of the store has gone down. As this is due to the company being greedy, as a member of my family is disabled a shopping trip in this particular store is a total nightmare. The lanes are too narrow for the wheel chair, my family member either gets moved out the way by staff or other shoppers while waiting for me when I fetch her the things we are getting, or the floor is covered in packaging cages, plastic or spillages. The temperature of the store is always cold, even in the summer it is still like a polar ice cave. There's never anything in stock that you need so you have to settle for alternatives or go home empty handed if you ask a staff member if theres any stock in the back they either scoff at you or say the generic answer "No we haven't got none" so not very helpful. Their clothing aisle is a complete joke full of clothing sizes either too small or too large, barely any stock rotation when it comes to replacing clothes, never got basic colours that you want and their modernist avant-garde designs are way too over the top and high tier reaching, its a regular town not Vegas, bought some mens socks at Christmas three washes and they went all stretched and misshapen with no quality whatsoever 7 by the way. The staff are completely rude, self serving, egotistical, narcissistic, sarcastic, belittling and are the most unhelpful cretins I have ever had the misfortune of interacting with, if they spent as much time as they do on their hair, makeup, tan, nails, and constant gossiping with each other then maybe the store would be better in quality when it comes to customer service. Went in for some aftershave once and the woman who served me was completely unhelpful telling my family member with me the aftershave was "over there" by the way my family member has a blind cane so great manners and help there. Plastic bags are sparse and treated like rare star dust went to ask for one and the woman holding them made me feel like I was begging even though I'm willing to pay for them to them to carry my shopping home, went there one day to get some heavy items and low and behold no bags instead the staff were handing out salad bags as replacements, how do you put kitchen roll, bleach washing up liquid, and fabric softner in a dainty little salad bag? I swear I thought it was a wind up by management. Bakery is awful never anything fresh staff never around to slice your loaf for you also the bakery bell is not there anymore as they have removed it, only the plastic holder for it remains so fantastic way to tell your customers fresh bread is available. Donuts are as stale and are as lifeless as the staff no matter what time of day you go. In conclusion avoid this store like the plague, rabies, chlamydia and gout combined. I'm taking my custom elsewhere as I will be shopping at SAINSBURY'S from now on at least the staff there are friendly, helpful, nice and are informative about their own produce and products plus their bakery is WAY better plus they always smile when they take your money.
Sellers by tbe entrance always botbering on the way in and out. Many occasions no baskets by entrance. Shelves empty. Store too small especially now you have staff getting internet shopping, and they believing they have priority. A lot of the girls on checkouts our like over made up mannequins and it seems to be a bother when you ask them something. Some of the long term staff aren't much better!. Always shopped in Asda but now prefer Tesco only go in when desperate.
Tend to have everything we need and pretty cheap if you stick to smart price.
It's my local Asda and I shop there several times a week. The staff are very helpful and obliging. The range of free from and dairy free is very wide and varied considering it's size.
I prefer this ASDA to the other location. Prices are good and produce is nice. Decent selection of clothing in this store too. Its smaller but much more worthy of a trip.
